PRESS RELEASE
GREEN BAY, WI—According to company officials, Paper Converting Machinery Co. (PCMC) has had an unprecedented surge in orders for its flexographic printing press equipment. Ten presses have been ordered with a sales value in excess of $29 million. The orders include eight Infiniti 10-color, central impression cylinder flexo presses, an Evolution in-line press, and a Vision-G.
Officials say one of the Infiniti presses will go to a new customer in Europe, marking the fifth Infiniti placement in central Europe. PCMC will deliver the Vision-G to a customer in Peru. The other eight presses will find homes in the US.
According to PCMC’s president and CEO, Frederick W. Baer, these recent orders—along with several modification and upgrade orders—have allowed the company not only to defer the Green Bay workforce lay-offs announced in June, but also to call back 53 employees previously let go.
