DuPont and Celanese Announce Price Increases

PRESS RELEASE
HOPEWELL, VA AND DALLS, TX—As of March 15, 2005, the price of all DuPont Teijin Films US branded PET polyester films have increased by a minimum of $0.80/lb. due to a continuing escalation in raw material, utility, and transportation costs and the impact of strong demand across various market segments. The increase covers all products sold by DuPont Teijin Films US to the North, Central, and South America.
Also effective March 15, 2005, Celanese Chemicals—a supplier of emulsion and adhesive polymers to the adhesives, paper, and nonwovens industries—has increased the price for all PVAc homopolymer and VAE co-polymers in North America by $0.03/wet lb. Acrylic and vinyl-acrylic emulsions increased by $0.06/wet lb.
