PRESS RELEASE
UNITED KINGDOM—InteliCoat’s pilot service allows the transition from prototypes and feasibility studies into full-scale manufacturing and wider functional and process capability testing. With two machines located in a cleanroom environment, there is the choice of a maximum coating width of 660mm with a two-zone 7 m dryer, or 1350mm with a four zone 22 m dryer. The airflow and temperature can be carefully monitored within each drying zone to allow a high degree of process control. Multiple coating methods—such as post metered, direct die, gravure, reverse roll and knife over roll—are available for pilot testing to enable versatility when working towards a solution that may have yet to be fully defined.
InteliCoat’s pilot trials are managed through a stage-gate system to enable complete traceability and assist with the formal approval process, company says.
