Graphic Packaging Offers MetalFX

ATLANTA, GA—Graphic Packaging Intl. has become the first flexo printer to become an accredited licensee in the United States for MetalFX. MetalFX technology is based on CMYK inks being transparent. Using a flexographic press, a base of special MetalFX silver is applied to the product package, then CMYK inks are overprinted, which produces the effect of unlimited metallic colors. MetalFX includes two special features: HoloFX, which makes areas of a package seem to appear and disappear like a holograph, and LiteFX, which creates the illusion of changing colors.
