PRESS RELEASE
NORWELL, MA—GMG was the only vendor to achieve top event scores in all eight hardcopy proofing categories at the 2006 IPA Color Proofing Roundup. The event focused on real-world proofing issues that evaluated the press-to-proof matches of major commercially available proofing products and solutions. The objective was to provide graphic solutions providers with a comprehensive review of the options and abilities of today's color proofing products.
This year GMG entered two ColorProof systems in the event: one with an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 inkjet printer, and one with a Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 130 printer, both using GMG's proofing media. Amongst 29 entries from 13 companies, GMG scored in the top "Accepatble to Excellenct" category for all evaluation criteria. IPA evaluated systems based on five key criteria: matching images on the press sheet, Delta E tests, multi-channel images, Pantone spot colors and spot color tints, and cost analysis.
