IPG General Meeting

TORONTO, CANADA—Jones Packaging hosted the annual general meeting for Intl. Packaging Group (IPG). The 23 members from around the world exchanged technical information, reviewed global packaging and economic trends, and learned information regarding innovation first-hand from the group's associate members. The highlight of the event is the transfer of best production practices among the IPG members.

The next meeting will be held April 2007 in Shanghai, hosted by New Island Printing, and in Denmark in August 2007, hosted by Schur Packaging. The organization further agreed to fund the development of software that would allow for the benchmarking of maintenance costs and times for all the machines in the database.
