Mark Andy Expands Label Capacity in Poland

BASEL, SWITZERLAND—Label converter Etiko installed one of the latest Mark Andy LP3000 flexo lines in its all-new production plant near Szczecin, on Poland’s Northwest border with Germany, supplied by Mark Andy in Switzerland. It is an eight-color, 13-inch full UV press, and it joins three multi-color Mark Andy Scout presses installed since 2001, largely to print thermo labels for the fresh food market. The new press is fitted with delam/relam, turner bars, motorized register control, a laminating station, an additional waste rewinder, and two screen cassettes. It also is fitted with Mark Andy’s “Gizmo,” a device for manufacturing mulit-layer labels, and Etiko already has taken its first order for this type of work with recipe labels. See markandy.com.
