Tufco Announces Q1 Results

GREEN BAY, WI—Tufco Technologies, a provider of branded contact wet and dry wipes, announced that fiscal year 2007 first quarter sales were $27,017,000, up 27% over fiscal year 2006 first quarters sales. Net income per diluted share for Q1 2007 was $0.03 per share compared to $0.01 net income per diluted share for Q1 2006. The fiscal 2007 first quarter earnings, though improved over the prior year, were impacted negatively by continuing excess labor and waste costs resulting from start-up of major projects late in fiscal 2006 at the Tufco Green Bay plant.
