PRESS RELEASE
CLIFTON, NJ—Boeing Corp. recently qualified Lamaguard 400A, a PVF type covering film, for use on its aircraft thermal acoustic insulation systems. This material, which meets the FAA's FAR 25.856(a) flammability requirements, will be used on Boeing's Legacy aircraft.
According to David A. Shields, Lamart's Director of New Business Development, "This qualification follows the approval of Boeing of our very lightweight Lamaguard 30 covering film, which is an APK based film that will be used on Boeing's 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Boeing chose our covering film because it offers considerale weight savings per aircraft, as compared with the PVF covering film that was also under consideration." See lamartcorp.com.
