New Splicers for Ohio Web Offset Printers

ROCKFORD, IL—Martin Automatic announces sales and installations of new zero-speed automatic splicers at two Ohio printers.

Brimfield printer The Ohio Press installed Martin ECP automatic splicers on an existing Heidelberg Harris two-web press. A long-time user of Martin splicers, the book and catalog printer has ordered another set of ECP splicers for delivery this spring, also for installation on a Heidelberg Harris press. The Martin splicers are rated for non-stop splicing of 50-inch diameter rolls at 1,200 fpm.

Watkins Printing Co. in Columbus has ordered a new ECP automatic splicer for its existing Hantscho press. The new splicer is an upgrade to existing Martin splicing equipment. The ECP is rated for continuous unwinding of 50-inch diameter rolls. See martinautomatic.com.
