BRAMPTON, ONTARIO, CANADA | Brampton Engineering (BE) has sold an 11-layer line to a significant player in the blown film market, reportedly the first in blown film history. The undisclosed BE customer has a particular market in mind for an 11-layer film.
With multi-layer capabilities, processors harness the properties of many resins to produce a package. Depending on the application, different resins are targeted to specific layers to make the same package at a lower cost or a better package at the same cost. More layers give processors the added flexibility to control the performance and cost of the end product. See be-ca.com.
