Neff Packaging Hosts Sustainability Seminars & Open House

KINGBROOK, KY | Neff Packaging Solutions invited customers, vendors, and local officials to an Open House that also featured seminars on important industry topics at its new 12,200-sq.-ft. facility in Simpsonville, KY. More than 200 visitors toured the facility with many staying for the seminars. Featured guest speaker, Jerry Van de Water, president of the Paperboard Packaging Council, led the presentation on "Sustainability in Paperboard Packaging."
The second seminar on "Paperboard Supply & Market Trends" featured guest speakers including Kevin Sullivan, Rock Tenn; Mike Lappa, Potlatch Corp.; Carl Baumgardner, International Paper; and was moderated by Jim Younkin of Neff Packaging Solutions.
Both seminars discussed achieving sustainability, certifications, scorecards, modeling software, materials, global warming, the importance of virgin fiber, forest certification, and recycling.
