Folding Cartons: Century Box Adds Verification System

Century Box, Methuen, MA, has installed a new Omega AllPro 110 S folder/gluer from Can-Am Packaging Equipment Corp. that is equipped with Nordson’s LogiComm pattern control and verification system including bar code, adhesive, and cello verification with integrated carton ejection.

The Omega has multiple Nordson LA 825 RC guns and a variety of sensors to verify parameters including adhesive application, bar code accuracy, and substrate alignment. This flexible configuration provides for easy changes between numerous carton styles and virtually limitless carton sizes and adhesive patterns.

In addition, Century Box has upgraded all existing lines with the LogiComm technology. Investment in these new manufacturing systems reportedly allows Century Box to continue delivering the highest quality, most cost-effective folding cartons possible.

Designed to simplify setup and provide real-time inspection and feedback, the systems connect centrally to Century Box’s ERP and provide real-time quality data collection.
