Standard Installs MLP Diamond UV Press

LOUISVILLE, KY | The Standard Group is enhancing the production capabilities at its Southern Standard Cartons division with the installation of an eight-color Mitsubishi (MLP) Diamond V3000LX sheetfed press equipped with a UV coater. “We chose the 41-in. format offered by the Diamond V3000LX after careful consideration of the market trends that have been under way over the past few years,” says Bill Jack, printing manager. “The shorter run lengths that the packaging industry has been experiencing, coupled with the improvements in efficiencies and the reduction in makeready times made possible by new Mitsubishi presses, influenced our decision.”

The Diamond V3000LX features a maximum sheet size of 29 ½ × 41 11/32 in. It prints on stocks ranging from 0.0016-0.040 in. at a rate of 16,200 sheets/hr.
