Turning Corrugated into Firelogs
- Published: April 01, 2010
FITZGERALD, GA | Enviro-Log Inc. is using a patented extrusion process to recycle old wax corrugated board into firelogs said to burn cleaner, hotter, and more consistently than firewood. Enviro-Logs reportedly are the only national brand safe to use in woodstoves, chimineas, campfires, and as a cooking fuel. To date, the company has diverted more than 100 million lb of wax from landfills, reducing the grocery trade's environmental impact and recycling costs.
