Ampac Packaging Acquires Flexicon

PRESS RELEASE
CINCINNATI, OH—Ampac Packaging, a producer of high-performance film structures for bags and food packaging—ranging from monolayers to nine-layer coextruded barrier films—has acquired Flexicon, Cary, IL, a manufacturer of high-performance, flexible packaging materials for the pharmaceutical, medial, healthcare, chemical, food, and industrial markets. The amount was undisclosed.
Flexicon is known for its custom-engineered structures, including adhesive laminations, Flexi-Free™ solventless laminations, heat-seal coated rollstock, pouches, perforated tear products and 10-color, high resolution, flexographic printing.
Robert Biddle will continue as president of Flexicon, overseeing the company’s sales and manufacturing facility in Cary, IL.
