Mark Andy P5 press at Western StatesSUN PRAIRIE, WI | What can do a four-color changeover in three minutes, is virtually waste-free, and marries maximum productivity with quality? Your next label run on the new Mark Andy Performance Series press at Western States Envelope & Label, a nationally recognized converter with more than 1,700 products in stock daily.

The company reports its new Mark Andy 13-in. P5 label press is an eight-color wonder that delivers the fastest makeready times in the industry and is one of the most operator-friendly presses on the market. “We started live production runs on April 30, 2012, and already see the benefit this machine will bring in workflow improvement and quality for our customers,” notes Greg Retzer, national sales manager. “It can run most of the current orders we do on the 7-in. in-line presses at much faster speeds with better results.”

With its unique print station design, the P5 label press was built for productivity. It features simple repeatable settings for ink and impression; a self-positioning rigid doctor blade system; and fewer operator tasks that reduce setup time. This press is ideal for any size label run.

The P5 press also delivers precise, advanced print quality with either water-based or ultraviolet inks, and has both pre-register and auto registration to save valuable time and waste. “This new generation of label press technology will clearly give customers a better label product for their investment,” adds Retzer.

In business since 1908, Western States uses environmentally responsible methods to specialize in custom envelope and label production using the world’s most advanced equipment.
