National Label Co., Lafayette Hill, PA, has introduced meta-LUX, a decorative technique for p-s labels that achieves high-impact, reflective metallic effects with inks containing vacuum-metallized flake technology. Results are said to be comparable to foil stamping or foil transfer in a process that generates virtually no waste, which will be of interest to brand owners seeking to maintain shelf impact while reducing their environmental footprint.

According to Oliver Crowhurst, decorative technologies manager, “A key advantage to meta-LUX is that we can achieve highly reflective silver and gold effects on single-ply labels without the need to reverse-print on an additional layer of film.
