Film Primer Provides Adhesion

Santel HR-97 film primer is said to provide exceptional printing adhesion and laydown properties. Used as supplied, product can be applied to PVDC, LDPE, and PVC films using conventional coating methods, such as gravure, flexo, roll, blade, etc. It is nontacky and can be wound for subsequent use.
Coating Reacts to Coin Rubbing

Coin-reactive coating is suited for security and amusement applications, says mfr. The coating is said to remain invisible until rubbed with a coin, which then causes printed message or design to become visible.

Co. adds three grades to its line of direct thermal entertainment papers, which brings line up to 12. HeatSafe 100-7.7, PressPro 200-7.7, and Résiste 200-7.6 offer a heat-stable background, a press-printable back side, print resolutions of 300 and 200 dpi, and high-sensitivity ratings. Applications include sports and concert events, amusement parks, and car rentals for HeatSafe; event, parking, and bus for PressPro; and cinema, short-duration events, and bin tags for Résiste.
Metallized Film Looks Like Fabric

Chase Fabrilam — a deeply embossed metallized film lamination that looks like fabric for products requiring a radiant barrier — is a lamination of metallized and plain PE film that is silver on one side and “hospital blue” on the other. Lamination can be sewn or heat-sealed on either side, and laminated to other substrates, mfr. reports.
