Rollstand Handles Two Rolls

Dual-position rollstand is able to handle two rolls. Each position can lift a roll to 84 in. dia and to 7,000 lb in weight at speeds to 3,000 fpm. Hydraulically powered, each position loads a roll by lowering both arms and then moving each toward the roll. Sufficient clamping pressure is exerted to drive the chucks into the core. Self-loading feature permits roll changes within 3–4 min.
