Santel Toridex NZ-2 is an aqueous resin and coating said to exhibit a high degree of heat resistance when exposed to elevated temperatures and sealing pressures, without the use of zinc compounds or other metal modifiers or catalysts. Called an excellent protective overcoat as well as a superior film former, product reportedly enables a useful and versatile glossy overcoat for flexible packaging, folding boxes, and general converting applications.

Sytec MVP crosslinked polyolefin shrink film is engineered to shrink quickly and gently at low temperatures, co. notes. Sytec RF4 shrink film for wrapping fresh or frozen meat and poultry is available with or without anti-fog capabilities and is said to create a strong, leak-proof package.
Water-Based Adhesive Suited for Many Materials

Robond L-100 is a one- or two-component, VOC-compliant, water-based adhesive for laminating flexible substrates such as treated polyolefins, PVDC-coated substrates, metallized films, nylons, and treated polyesters. Co. says in many cases the adhesive provides performance characteristics comparable to those of some solvent-based systems with good economics.

Fluoridescent special-effect films combine the fluorescent effect popular in the '60s and '70s with iridescence to create what are described as striking packaging and decorative products. These films are the latest extension of co.'s Aurora special-effect films and are available in five “retro” colors.
Strong UV Inks Have Low Viscosity

Ultra Flex III inks are said to combine high color strength with very low viscosity for UV flexo printing applications. Low viscosity is said to help printers avoid problems such as spitting, foaming, cavitation, poor pumpability, and excess process dot gain.
