Label Press Provides Productivity

The DCP 320 web-fed press provides true digital label printing, says mfr. Can handle widths to 330 mm (13 in.); can run at speeds to 7.35 mpm (12.25 cm/sec) or 14.7 mpm (24.7 cm/sec), which co. says makes its productivity level one of the highest in the digital label industry. Typical applications include labels, variable information promotional food labels, games, lottery bulletins, scratch tickets, concert or travel tickets, and security-oriented products.
Spectrophotometer Measures Any Surface

Digital Inks for Corrugated Displays

Special digital inks for “first-of-its-kind” BEL2000 wide-format printer (sold and serviced by Belcom North America) now are available through BCM, says co. Digital ink jet printer is reported to be a just-in-time, short-run printing solution for corrugated displays. Inks for printer are water-based, non-abrasive, and formulated specifically for the wide-format printer.
Cylinder Software for Gravure Printers

Kodak Approval XP4 digital halftone color proofing system can produce Hexachrome and millions of spot colors accurately, including metallics, says mfr. Now equipped with the 2000 GATF Inter-Tech award-winning recipe software and new orange and green donors, system reportedly will help users meet their customers' demands for accurate color proofs. Co. says the addition of orange and green colors expands system's capabilities; Pantone qualifies system as Hexachrome capable.
Prototype System Provides “Look and Feel” for Less
