• Label Technology, Merced, CA, participates in the first sustainable squeeze pack packaging conference October 6-7 in Boulder, CO, with Dave Bankson, VP/R&D, as a presenter. Boulder-based Justin's Nut Butter hosts the inaugural meeting to address sustainability issues associated with single-serve food packaging.

• Overnight Labels, Deer Park, NY, now offers cold foil printing on shrink sleeves.

• UK-based Edale launches a website compatible with its rebranding and new logo. The site, www.edale.com, features easier navigation and direct video links to equipment in action.

• UK-based Tarsus Group reports 90 exhibitors and more than 4,000 attendees at its first South China Label Show. Show organizers will return to Guangzhou in 2012.

• Avery Dennison, Painesville, OH, announces winners of the Avery Graphics Design 66 Challenge. “Salute the Soldiers” by Daniel Wayne Logue is selected as the winning design. It will be printed on Avery MPI 1005 Supercast film and installed on the No. 66 5-Hour Energy Toyota Camry for the Nationwide Series season finale in Homestead, FL. The design is an homage to soldiers depicting the popular markings used on US military aircraft in the World War II era. Logue also wins third place for his design, “5 Hour Power.” Second prize goes to “Landshark” designed by Shawn Magee.

• UK-based Pulse Roll Label Products appoints Eaglewood Technologies, Minneapolis, MN, as US distributor of label inks and coatings.
