Figures Look Good For interpack 2011

CHICAGO, IL | Messe Düsseldorf, manager of interpack 2011, reports booked exhibit space has reached similar levels as 2008, the last time the event was held. At that time, the exhibition occupied the entire available space in all 19 halls of the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Focus on current industry topics includes the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING with “Quality of Life” as the main theme. The 2011 event also will feature two new special shows: Metal Packaging Plaza and Save Food! The latter will demonstrate how each stage in the packaging value chain, including food transportation and logistics, can help in the worldwide initiative against food waste. Among the solutions featured will be ways the protective function of packaging can effectively prevent food from spoiling between production and consumption.
