CRANBURY, NJ | Lamitech, a converter of paperboard in North America, has completed the acquisition of Signature Food Boards, which was an operating division of General Die & Die Cutting, Roosevelt, NY.
Signature Food Boards consists of patented, FDA-approved products serving the bakery and cake tray markets. This line of products, designed to be resistant to moisture, oil, and grease, is said to be a favorite among cake decorators allowing for mistakes to be easily wiped clean without costly waste.
This expansion by Lamitech into the bakery board market is part of a strategic growth plan that began in 2014 with a commitment to an AIB International audit process that annually certifies its manufacturing process as being food-safe. Lamitech, in receiving AIB audit ratings of “Superior” for two consecutive years, says it is among a select number of paperboard converters to successfully achieve a third-party safety inspection/audit for its direct food contact products.
“The addition of the Signature Food Boards’ line of quality products allows us to expand our reach into the important bakery board market while leveraging our food quality paperboard expertise, says Adam Reiser, VP and general manager of Lamitech. “…To ensure customer satisfaction, inventories have been increased to bridge any short-term interruptions, and customers of Signature Food Boards will receive the same high quality service that they have come to expect.”
