Rotocontrol Reports Record Month

AHRENSBURG, GERMANY | Rotocontrol reports a record month for new orders in January. According to managing director Marco Aengenvoort, manufacturing and technical staff were increased to meet the current demand in booked and anticipated order activity in the coming months.

Currently being manufactured are the RSC Series slitter/rewinder/inspection machines, RSD Series die-cutting/slitting/rewinding machines, and the recently introduced EDM200 Series overprinting press. Orders are from countries including Germany, Finland, South Africa, Italy, France, Spain, and Turkey.

  • Flint Group, Plymouth, MN, expands production of UV and water-based narrow web printing inks in North America by moving production from Minnesota to its 98,000-sq-ft facilities in Anniston, AL. All customer service, R&D, technical support, and the Center of Technical Excellence will remain in Plymouth.

  • UPM Raflatac, Mills River, NC, achieves ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems certification for its Dixon, IL, label stock factory. The company also announces a new 24-hr service to the Napa Valley, CA, region. Customers can receive next-day delivery of wine label stock if orders are placed by noon PST.

  • The In-Mold Decorating Assn., Scottsdale, AZ, accepts entries for its Fourth Annual Award Competition. Entries must be received by June 1. Rules and entry form are available at www.imdassociation.com.

  • MACtac Specialty Products, Stow, OH, launches a line of p-s adhesive solutions designed specifically for solar cell assembly applications. Five primary products enable manufacturers to use PSAs in the assembly of concentrating, flat, and flexible solar applications.

  • France-based MGI Digital Graphic Technology reports that one year after the installation of its Meteor DP60 Pro digital press at envelope manufacturer Bong Ljungdahl in Sweden, the company has printed 1 million envelopes using MGI's envelope feeder, the EnvelopExpress.

  • UK-based Tarsus Group, owners of the Labelexpo Global Series, launches the South China Label Show, which takes place October 25-27 at the Jinhan Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Labelexpo also reports the India Label Show is now known as Labelexpo India. The 2010 show takes place December 8-10 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
