CHICAGO, IL | The Innovation Compass for K 2013, International Trade Fair – No. 1 for Plastics and Rubber Worldwide, is now online. Renowned polymer research and technology scientists are publishing keynote articles on current sector topics and highlighting the trends that will drive market development in the coming years. The online publication of these technical articles marks the first step in emphasizing the abundance of innovations that will be showcased at K 2013, scheduled for October 16–23 at the Fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. Next year, K 2013 exhibitors will be able to enter their product information in the Innovation Compass, drawing attention to specific innovations.
Organized by Messe Düsseldorf, K 2013 is expected to welcome 3,000 exhibitors from all over the world to introduce innovations in the fields of machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry, raw materials, and auxiliaries as well as semi-finished products, technical parts, and reinforced plastics. The Innovation Compass provides a helpful guide to locate these innovations according to their fields of application.
In addition to writing these articles, the scientists have adapted the search matrix of the Innovation Compass to current developments in the sector, divided into machinery, equipment, processes, and materials. Starting in September 2013, visitors can use this search matrix to identify exhibitors who will present significantly improved or radically modified products and processes. Attendees will then be able to customize the visit of the exhibition halls according to their personal needs, organizers report.
