Martignoni Improves Corona Treatment for Blown Film

MILAN, ITALY | Martignoni offers the Coroflex range of corona treatment systems, designed primarily to treat blown film.

Company says it has improved the performance of its treaters by offering optional 1/8-in. stainless steel, multi-fined, segmented electrode. Reportedly, this electrode innovation provides fine width treatment control with minimal expansion and heat deflection during operation of the corona treating system. The new design is said to provide a precise, uniform air gap across the web width for a consistent, high level of treatment throughout the production run. This electrode is especially applicable to film extrusion lines.

Coroflex units, said to require less space than traditional units, are available in different configurations to suit different speeds and treat widths.
