Global Graphics Software Unveils New RIP Version
- Published: September 13, 2013
ACTON, MA | Global Graphics Software used the occasion of PRINT 13 to mark the 25th anniversary of its Harlequin RIP print engine. The company also unveiled Version 10.0, the Harlequin MultiRip, so named because multi-threading is one of the new features said to result in speed gains.
Product is said to be well suited to drive short-run presses profitably alongside CtP. Offers workflow options that include simple imposition, font emulation, trapping, and screening.
Processes PDF and PostScript in one RIP engine as well as TIFF and JPEG, so handling mixed workflows with consistent output is easy, company says, because printers can use the same screening and color management across all files.
