MORTSEL, BELGIUM—Agfa reports it will demonstrate its latest developments in workflow software, proofing, and screening technology for packaging and label applications at Labelexpo later this month.

According to Agfa's Labelexpo press release, among the product highlights it will show at the label-production venue:

  • :ApogeeX is becoming one of the most talked-about workflow solutions in the industry. Agfa is making its packaging version available and will demonstrate its flexibility, and ease of use.
  • Considered by many Agfa customers to be the most color-accurate proofing systems on the market, the :Sherpa will also be on display. Available in sizes from 24 to 84-inches wide, the system allows prepress houses to match specific press characteristics—both flexographic and offset.
  • Agfa will also show its new screening technology :Sublima. Developed to increase printing resolutions with no added effort in prepress or on press, the XM (cross modulated) technology achieves screen resolutions up to 340 lpi. Tested by both offset printers and flexographers, the technology offers significant quality improvements along with major cost-saving benefits.
