Industrial Inkjet to Show High-Speed Mono Printer

SWAVESEY, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, UK | Industrial Inkjet (IIJ) will be launching a new 600-dpi, high-speed mono range at Stand C70, Hall 9, at Labelexpo Europe, September 29–October 2, in Brussels, Belgium.

With print widths to 520 mm, the new models are said to be well suited to printing of variable text down to 2-pt fonts at more than 50 mpm. The modules, powered by Konica Minolta inkjet technology, reportedly offer high uptime and the long printhead life.

The monochrome units print full variable images in black, white, varnish, or spot colors, as well as security inks such as IR black or UV fluorescent. “HS” or high-speed models print high-resolution, continuously variable text images and barcodes at a sustained speed in excess of 160 mpm. Now company is extending its mono offering to include 600 dpi native resolution.

John Corrall, managing director and founder of IIJ, says, “Compared to stand-alone units, our modules provide the lowest cost of ownership, estimated at between 30 and 60 percent lower than competitors. Combined with a wide choice of inks, from process color to special effect and invisible security inks, they offer the best break-even point when compared with the cost of flexo print.”
