AIMCAL and Fraunhofer Report Agenda for European Conference

FORT MILL, SC | The Assn. of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) reports the agenda is set and registration open for the 2016 AIMCAL Europe Web Coating & Handling Conference, May 30–June 2 at the Westin Bellevue in Dresden, Germany.

Presented by AIMCAL, the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IV, the conference features more than 50 papers devoted to developments in web coating/web handling and vacuum coating. Presentations by technical experts from Europe and North America focus on barrier materials and testing, vacuum equipment and processes, coating equipment, inline control, simulation, web metrology, capacitors, photovoltaics, and emerging technologies.

The conference schedule includes an optional tour of two points of interest in Dresden: Fraunhofer FEP and the VON ARDENNE Technology and Application Center. Attendees also may register for short courses on the opening day of the conference. Short course options include Roll-to-Roll Vacuum Deposition onto Flexible Substrates, Wrinkling and Spreading, Adhesion Science Principles and Practice, and Permeation Barriers.
