Registration Open for the AICC 2019 Annual Meeting and Independent Package Design Competition

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, has opened registration for the AICC 2019 Annual Meeting, being held September 16-18, at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The meeting will feature a three-day series of general sessions, workshops, plant tours, and networking and social events. The meeting will also feature the biennial Independent Package Design Competition.
KEYNOTES:
Gregg Lederman and Rick Mercer are two of this years’ featured keynote speakers.
Lederman is a professional speaker, professor at the University of Rochester Simon School of Business, and the president of employee engagement for Reward Gateway. Over the past decade, his clients have witnessed more than 90 percent employee engagement, nearly three times the national average, and more than 65 percent have been noted on “best place to work” lists. Lederman has written three award-winning books and is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author.
Lederman plans to help attendees increase employee motivation and engagement to increase the company’s profits. In addition to his keynote, he will also present a two-day workshop track.
Mercer, who chronicles, satirizes and ultimately celebrates all that is great and irreverent about Canada. A #1 bestselling author, Governor General’s Award-winner for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, and “Canada’s Unofficial Opposition,” He is a popular comic; a political satirist who knows exactly what matters to regular Canadians and what makes them laugh. Mercer is the author of four national bestsellers: Rick Mercer Final Report, Streeters, The Rick Mercer Report: The Book, and 2012’s A Nation Worth Ranting About.
Meeting workshops will educate attendees on a variety of topics including; comparing and finding the best use for digital, flexo, and litho printing, marijuana in the workplace and other top HR issues impacting employers in both the U.S. and Canada, and increasing profits through increased engagement and creating and sustaining a company culture.
AICC will also host a designers’ forum: “Practical Innovation in Package Design” on Monday, September 16. As always, during the Annual Meeting, AICC will offer a special training and networking event for AICC Emerging Leaders.
COMPETITION:
The Independent Package Design Competition, taking place in conjunction with the meeting, features 41 corrugated, folding carton and rigid box categories, providing a wider reach into the entire packaging market and a greater diversity of ideas. There is a category for everyone to compete and receive recognition for creating and manufacturing successful global packaging solutions. Submissions are being accepted through Friday, August 16.
