Monadnock Paper Mills Launches Astrolite PC 100 Velvet

Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc. announced a new line of coated text and cover papers for commercial printing. Astrolite PC 100® Velvet C2S is reportedly the only premium, coated-two-side, 100 percent recycled sheet available in the U.S. today. Monadnock Paper Mills now offers aesthetic options, coated and uncoated, for the most sustainability-minded brands.

According to Mark W. McElroy, Ph.D., in an article published in Sustainable Brands, “reputations reside in the minds of observers,” and authentically sustainable companies are financially rewarded because of their reputation as good corporate and environmental citizens. That is called “the sustainability effect.”

Astrolite PC 100 Velvet meets the needs of brands, marketers, graphic designers and commercial printers searching for consistently reliable, high-quality graphics in high-end retail and corporate marketing communications. This grade is currently available in 80 and 100 lb. Text; and 80, 100 and 130 lb. Cover weights. Other basis weights are available upon request.

The universal velvet coating on both sides is optimized for conventional and UV offset, and HP Indigo printing. Astrolite PC 100 Velvet is an HP Indigo Certified Media, achieving a 3-star rating for runability, fixing and blanket compatibility.

Made with the environment in mind, Astrolite PC 100 Velvet is FSC Certified (FSC C018866), manufactured carbon neutral (VERs) and made with 100 percent renewable Green-e certified wind-powered electricity (RECs) under a third-party certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
