Jake Sims Joins EDGE Industrial Technologies as Vice President, Product Management

Jake Sims has been hired as Vice President, Product Management at EDGE Industrial Technologies (EDGE), a leading global producer of industrial machine knives and blades, punches, and related equipment. In the newly created position, Sims is responsible for ensuring EDGE’s product portfolio delivers differentiated value for customers.

Sims’ responsibilities in the new position include product strategy, ensuring strong alignment between the company’s growth strategy, sales initiatives, and production capabilities; demand and product planning; value-based pricing; and strategic sourcing initiatives. He will lead the global supply chain team and report directly to Slagle.

Prior to joining EDGE, Sims was a plant manager at Avidity Science and has management experience from various roles at SPX Flow and Belden Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in supply chain and operations management from the University of South Carolina and a commercial engineering certificate from the University of Chile. Sims, his wife and young son are relocating from Wisconsin to Wilder.
