STRAPBLASTER™ Technology is designed to address one of the most common pain points in strapping equipment: debris buildup. Over time, dust and particles from strapping materials accumulate around critical components, leading to feed errors and equipment downtime. To tackle this issue, STRAPBLASTER™ Technology utilizes a controlled burst of air after each strapping cycle to clean the sealing head and feed areas, ensuring optimal performance and significantly reducing maintenance needs.
In a series of rigorous tests performed on an SM65-FA strapping machine, STRAPBLASTER™ Technology achieved outstanding results. At 80 PSI, with a continuous air blast or a 0.5-second air burst after each cycle, the system reduced the rate of short-feed errors by over 80%, as compared to control tests with no air assistance. This improvement can potentially eliminate up to 3,000 feed errors over the lifetime of a typical strapping machine, translating to substantial cost savings and operational efficiency for users.
STRAPBLASTER™ Technology is highly customizable to fit a variety of machine models and sizes, with both manual and fully automatic options available. The automated system, which can be integrated with fully automatic machines like the SM60-FA and SM65-FA, includes a solenoid valve and advanced PLC control for seamless operation. The air pressure can be fine-tuned to ensure that components remain clean without exceeding safe operating limits, protecting delicate machine parts while maintaining peak performance.
