According to the Rhode Island-based plastics operation, a Sherman corona treating system has been installed at the company's lab/pilot facility in Providence, RI, and is now available for customer use.

Equipped with a uniquely engineered two-sided treater station, says M and W Plastics, the facility's dual-pass Sherman system was engineered to allow difficult-to treat substrates to be treated twice in a single pass, while the using the max output capacity of the supplier's GX generator.

Sherman Treaters Now Part of ITW Inc.
The U.K.-based co. is now a div. of ITW, Inc. According to co. officials, both corona-treating supply companies will operate autonomously, and separate-brand engineering and manufacturing will be continued at Sherman, Thame, England, and Pillar Technologies, Hartland, WI, USA. Co. officials report Pillar will also offer Sherman's flame-treatment and ozone-generation products.
