Papers Sought For TAPPI European PLACE Conference

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY | Industry professionals and research fellows are invited to present original papers at the 12th TAPPI European PLACE Conference, which will be held on May 18-20, 2009, at the Corinthia Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary. The conference program will focus on the latest trends in extrusion coating/lamination applications and technologies and on end-use applications.

Topics will include: Developments in raw materials–including polymers, lamination and substrate web materials; converting technologies–raw material handling, extrusion processing, primer application, web treatments, lamination and converting; hardware manufacturing–extrusion, web handling and treatment, process control, and product inspection; final products–application requirements, environmental, industry, and regulatory aspects in packaging and industrial applications; and inspection and characterization of raw materials and converted products.

Particular emphasis will be given to ideas and innovations–big and small–that lead to energy savings in the industry.
