Prime Graphics Sold to Kollman Label & Packaging Group

CHICAGO, IL | Mesirow Financial, Inc., announces it has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Prime Graphics, Inc., Wood Dale, IL, in its sale to Kollman Label & Packaging Group, Yardley, PA.

Prime Graphics, founded in 1980, is an award-winning printer and converter of graphically intensive flexible packaging solutions, offering innovative high-visibility wraps, roll-fed labels, film laminations, pressure-sensitive labels, and shrink sleeves to consumer product companies. Many of its customers are Fortune 500 companies, regional manufacturers, and contract packagers within the food, beverage, personal care, household, medical, and private label markets.

Kollman, a holding company formed in 2008, acquires printing and packaging companies that serve the food and personal care product industries. It has a controlling stake in Baltimore, MD-based Dixie Printing & Packaging Group, a manufacturer and converter of high-end printed folding cartons for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries.

This transaction represents the successful engagement completed by Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking Group.  Having completed over 75 packaging transactions in recent years, Mesirow Financial reportedly is one of the most active advisors in the paper & packaging sector.
