DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. Upgrades Classroom Experience

BROADVIEW, IL | DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. (DFI) has upgraded the classroom experience for both its students and instructors with the installation of a SMART Board interactive whiteboard to facilitate the learning process. Because of the interactivity of the equipment addition, according to owner Vince DiTrolio, the training process is both simplified and amplified to a whole new level for the flexographic community. DiTrolio believes DFI is among the first users of this technology within the organization’s specialty field.

New capabilities allow DFI instructors to perform the following:
• Increased interactivity during classroom lecture with a touch screen board
• Recording capabilities for review sessions or absent students
• Class lectures and activities can be modified and accessed from any computer

DFI has a ten-year history in providing off-site training options for flexographers involved in converting, labels, packaging, and carton manufacturing, and is located only minutes from Chicago, IL. Graduates of the training program, says DiTrolio, have enjoyed 100% job placement. DFI features vocational programs, seminars, lean manufacturing, flexo staff development, preventative maintenance, research & development, and start-up assistance. Among the equipment offerings at the Broadview facility are the following:
• Mark Andy 800 3/color, 7-in. wide CI press with two die stations and sheet and perforating capabilities
• Webtron 650 4/color press
• Propheteer 1300 5/color, 13-in. Wide press with UV curing
