Shorewood Opens Facility in Mexico

NEW YORK, NY | Shorewood Packaging, a business of International Paper, has opened a folding carton manufacturing facility in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Shorewood de Mexico is part of a Latin American expansion strategy to provide high-end packaging solutions for multinational companies.
As a result of a joint venture with Mexico’s Corporativo Cartograf S.A., Shorewood will operate out of Corporativo Cartograf’s ISO 9002-certified facility, which is equipped with offset and gravure presses. Shorewood de Mexico already is manufacturing folding cartons for multinational customers in several market segments including tobacco, hair care, confectionary, and healthcare.
