Cylinder Coating Aids Yield

JOHNSON CITY, TN | Nu Tech Coatings has introduced a patented PEC HD coating said to eliminate two major variables in flexo printing: the removal of cushion stickyback tape and impression setting of the plate to the substrate.
Polymers are applied in 0.375-in. thickness to the radius of a new or existing plate cylinder. Company says coating reduces waste, increases yields, and provides predictable, high quality print on unsupported thin films and other high-holdout substrates.
