Colbert Packaging Celebrates 50 Years

CHICAGO, IL | Colbert Packaging Corp. is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. In 1959, Charles “Bud” Colbert purchased Kroeck Paper Box, a rigid setup box company founded in 1892.  He changed the name to Colbert Packaging and set out on a mission to offer one of the industry’s most diverse packaging portfolios.  

“As we look behind us in our milestone year, we can be proud of our achievements, among them the fact that we remain an independent and family-owned business in an industry that has seen a lot of consolidation,” said Jim Hamilton, president of Colbert Packaging.
