Narrow Web Transducer Measures Light/Heavy Tension

ROCHESTER, NH | Dover Flexo Electronics releases the NW Narrow Web line of tension transducers to measure light to heavy running tension for printing presses and converting machinery with 6–20-in. web widths. Comprises a bearing-mounted cantilevered idler roll with integrated dual tension sensors that mount on a single-sided machine frame in the web path. Said to measure total web tension across the roll face regardless of either web position on the roll or which edge of the web is tighter. Available in 2.25-in., 3-in. and 3.5-in. roll diameters to cover a wide range of loads from 10–100 lb. Requires single-bolt mounting or four-bolt flange for easy installation; has optional tension display on roll shaft end.
