Aerosol Procedure Combines Treating, Coating

ST. LOUIS, MO | Lectro Engineering offers Calvatron corona treating systems from Kalwar Group that include an aerosol misting device that works in conjunction with corona treatment. The system is said to allow users to change the surface chemistry of film at a nano level to remove static, prime the surface, provide long-term adhesive qualities, and eliminate fogging. The system can be added to existing lines.

The surface change reportedly is immediate, as the process does not require blending of compounds eliminating migration between film layers. The Calvasol process is versatile and supports a wide range of film thicknesses to increase profit margins, including a reduction in film and coating costs. Does not require climate control of the plant after application and requires little maintenance after initial setup.
