Success of Press Prompts a Second

COLLEGE PARK, GA | Mike Wilson, president of Star Packaging, says the converter liked its first Windmoeller & Hoelscher flexo press so much, it has ordered another. The new press is a ten-color Miraflex CM that will be installed in September.

Wilson says of Star's first W&H press, a Primaflex acquired in 2006, “It's a great piece of equipment and has driven our growth.…The Primaflex has served us well, and that's why we're investing in another press from W&H.”

Wilson says the new press will strengthen the company's sustainability efforts by generating less waste and providing quick setup and run times. The Miraflex CM is equipped with Easy-Set for automatic impression setting, Easy-Reg for registration, and Turboclean automatic ink supply and washup system that completes ink changes on all decks in less than 5 min.
