Splash Graphics Stands Out with Kodak FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexo System

ROCHESTER, NY | Splash Graphics, Inc., a premier premedia and graphics company located in Willowbrook, IL, has invested in a Kodak FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System to expand its business into printing plate production for flexographic printing. The integrated FLEXCEL NX System enables offset class, gravure quality results and improved productivity for flexographic printing applications including tags and labels, folding cartons, and flexible packages.

The new FLEXCEL NX System allows Splash Graphics, Inc.—which provides prepress services to printers, advertising agencies and brand owners—to expand its capabilities, provide customers with increased options and diversify its business.

Splash Graphics strives to bring technology that offers significant improvement to their customers. The FLEXCEL NX System does just that, according to the company, so it can operate a dependable, efficient, and quality run operation and become a leader in this area.

The FLEXCEL NX System produces plates that use an innovative flat-top dot structure with a minimum dot size as small as 10 microns, providing consistent quality and repeatability on press. FLEXCEL NX Plates require less makeready time and are highly durable, allowing for longer runs and increased productivity.

The FLEXCEL NX System was named as the sole recipient of the 2009 Flexographic Technical Assn. Technical Innovation Award. It also received the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award and the Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Assn. Technology Innovator of the Year Award.
