FTA Annual Forum & Info*Flex Just Keep Getting Better

RONKONKOMA, NY | Last year I reported the Flexographic Technical Assn.’s Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX were significant successes. In fact, last year’s Las Vegas rendition of the FTA’s annual event was a spring harbinger of several additional successful industry events that followed that year.

But this year’s  event at the JW Marriott and Indiana Convention Ctr., Indianapolis, IN, on May 1—4, has been lauded, according to an FTA press release, as nothing less than “Phenomenal!” and “Fantastic!“ Printers were everywhere.” “Impressive.” Traffic was heavy. Dialogue was extensive. Session rooms were crowded. Exhibit aisles were packed to near capacity. The trade floor was sold out.”

And PFFC’s own experience at the Annual Forum required having to stand in a spacious conference room  because there simply were no more available seats! My 3-minute video interview with Jay Kaibel, FTA’s director of business development, embodies the enthusiasm expressed throughout the four-day extravaganza. An increase in exhibiting suppliers, a kick-off lunch, social networking, and a $1,000 raffle all added to to the excitement.

The FTA reports this year’s conference and show edition, “captured and held the attention of more than 1,600 package printers and their business partners who turned out for Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association’s 2011 Annual Forum. By all accounts, the event exceeded expectations. Long-standing attendance and participation records were shattered and the bar was raised.”
