R-2462 water-based coating allows converters to achieve oxygen barrier properties on films and papers that extend the shelf life of products. When applied properly, oxygen barrier properties of less than 1 cc/100 sq in./day can be achieved on BOPP film. Because coating achieves a good oxygen barrier with a relatively thin coating, converters are able to reduce costs and improve the environment, company adds.
