SleeveCo Inc., Dawsonville, GA, snags a 2008 Golden Cylinder award from the Gravure Assn. of America for the Noble 100% Pure Tangerine Juice sleeve label. The customer chose a plant-based film supplied by Plastic Suppliers Inc. to match the NatureWorks Ingeo bottle and closure, so the entire container is compostable. Gravure printing on a W.R. Chesnut Engineering press with Sun Chemical ink reproduced the lifelike tangerine images and created distinct delineations between text and graphics with tight registration required.
